Is the Funk Box the old 8x10?
No. New owner, new construction and levels inside. The two things that remain the same are 1) location and 2) The Funk Box a live music venue. Come by and check us out!
Where can I get tickets?
Tickets are available at The Funk Box BOX OFFICE . The Funk Box is also an official Ticketmaster outlet selling tickets for all MD, DC and NOVA Ticketmaster events 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Tickets also available through any MD/VA/DC Ticketmaster outlets Charge-By-Phone 410-481-SEAT, online at www.ticketmaster.com
Where can I park?
Street Parking is available just about anywhere in Federal Hill, and there is safe and secure parking located 2 blocks away at West Street Parking for a small fee. Hours of operation are: Sunday 11 - 1 am, Mon - Wed 6am - 1am, Thurs 6am - 3am, Fri 6am - 3am, Sat 9am - 3am . Please note: Parking Garage closes after these hours until following morning and your car will not be accessible during closed times. Directions and a map is located on our directions page.
Will there be tables, and can I reserve them?
The Funk Box is typically a standing room only venue, however, there will be bar stools located on two floors (around the bars and the balcony) available for most shows on a first come basis. Because of capacity, some sell out shows might have seats removed.
Will there be food available at The Funk Box?
Yes. There is a menu available at the Funk Box serving from Mother's Federal Hill Grille right to you until 11:00 PM. Before the show, we recommend you stop by to eat at Mother's Grille (just around the corner and sister to The Funk Box) Call .
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. All shows are 18+. Under 21 extra $3 at the door with valid ID.
Will there be Re-entry?
Re-entry is permitted for 21+ patrons. Those 18-20 must pay re-admission once leaving the building.
Is there a dress code?
Please come dressed. No Rollerskates or rollerblades.
Is the room smoke free?
On certain shows the room is smoke free, however, on the majority of shows where smoking is permitted, there is a Smoke Eater that circulates the air (via hepa filter) to extract smoke and other air born particles.
Can I tape the show?
Taping is allowed only with permission from artist(s). Set-up cannot interfere with standing room or patrons and is subject to the discretion of the artist and The Funk Box management.
Can I take pictures?
No photgraphy or video is allowed unless prior written permission is given by the artist. Thanks for your cooperation.
Can I rent the room for a private function?
YES! You can rent The Funk Box for private parties, functions, & special events. Availability depends on the date, time and number of people you wish to have attend. Click here or email for more information and pricing.
